Below are 4 ways you can screenshot on any Samsung tablet. After the list, we have prepared a detailed step-by-step guide.
How can you screenshot on a Samsung tablet?
- Using the Button Combo
- Using Palm Swipe
- Using the S Pen
- Using the Quick Panel
Using the Button Combinations
The button combinations method is the easiest and most popular way you can take your screenshot. Just click the Power plus the Volume down buttons at the same time.
Step 1: Find the Power plus Volume Down buttons on the side of the tablet. The power button is located on the top right side of the tablet, while the volume down button is the lowest button on the same side.
Step 2: Navigate to the screenview or page you intend to screenshot.
Step 3: Click and hold them down simultaneously. Power button + Vol-down button
Step 4: You will notice a slight flash on the screen sides, and the screenshot is saved.
Using Palm Swipe to Screenshot on a Samsung Tablet
New Samsung models allow you to screenshot by swiping your hand across the face of the screen. The swipe gesture is the second easiest way to take a screenshot.
Before using the swipe gesture, you have to first enable it. Go to Settings, then Advanced Features, and choose Motion Gestures. Choose Palm Swipe Capture and enable it. Now just swipe the side of your palm horizontally across the screen to screenshot.
If your tablet does not have a power button on the side, it is most likely located at the bottom of the screen. It functions the same as the side power button. This is mostly common on older Samsung tablet versions.
Step 1: Now enable swipe gestures by going to Settings > Advanced Features > Motions and Gestures.
Step 2: Enable the Palm swipe to capture option.
Step 3: Navigate to the screenview or page you intend to screenshot.
Step 4: Take a screenshot by a simple swipe of your palm horizontally across your screen.
If your tablet has a physical home button at the bottom, you can click on it simultaneously with the power button.
Using the S Pen
Some Samsung tablets come with the standard Samsung S Pen. If this is your device, you can use the pen to take a screenshot. You will just open the Air command, select screen write or similar, and finally annotate the screenshot before saving it.
Step 1: Navigate to the screenview or page you intend to screenshot.
Step 2: Take out your S Pen, then hover it on the screen to open Air Command.
Step 3: Choose the Screen Write option or something similar. This captures your current screen.
Step 4: Annotate your screenshot, then save it.
Using the Quick Panel
Some Samsung tablets offer a quick and easy navigation mode to take screenshots. To take a screenshot using the quick panel method, swipe the top-screen quick access menu and look for the take screenshot option or something similar. Click on it. Unfortunately, this is not available on all devices.
Step 1: Navigate to the screenview or page you intend to screenshot.
Step 2: Drag down the top screen menu to bring the quick panel
Step 3: If available, click the screenshot option. It takes your screenshot.
Where can you find your saved screenshots?
All Samsung tablets are set by default to save screenshots in one place. If you cannot find your saved screenshot, go to the gallery app under the screenshots folder.
