On purchase, you will get a free protective cover to protect the tablet. The leather cover spans from the front screen to the back of the body, connecting with a magnetic edge to close.

The leather cover’s ergonomic design makes it possible to double up as both a simple stand and pen holder. You will also get a Stylus Pen, drawing Glove, Adapter Charger, and a pre-installed screen protector.

Body and Build

The Simbans Picasso features a small and lightweight build that makes it easy to carry around. It is only 14 by 8 by 2.1 inches in size with an overall 2 lbs weight. This small size is easily manageable on the hand although some artists prefer a larger size on a drawing tablet.

It has a modern and sleek look with slim bezels around the front screen. You will have a 2 MP Webcam on the front for Conferencing and selfies. This is nowhere close to premium tablets but is still decent. The rear camera is slightly better at 5 MP resolution.

Screen and Display

The Simbans Picasso Tab has a 10.1-inch screen size with a 1280 by 800 pixels screen resolution. It is bright and displays your work in rich vivid colors. Additionally, the landscape’s 16:9 aspect ratio is large and comfortable to use.

This is not full HD resolution but is good enough for streaming Netflix Movies. Although the HD resolution is good for both artists and writers, the resolution is quite low compared to the more expensive and powerful tablets like the Apple iPad Pro with 2388 x 1668 pixels resolution.

Stylus Pen and Drawing Experience

Most tablets in this price range will require you to buy a stylus pen separately, with some ranging from up to $100 for an Apple Pen. Among the free bonus items, the Simbans Picasso has a free stylus pen, so you will not have to spend extra just to get the necessary tools you need for drawing or writing.

The pen has up to 1024 pressure levels that will let you draw many different strokes with ease. Unlike some more expensive brands, the Picasso Pen is battery-powered with up to 1000 hours of battery life.

The Simbans Picasso tab has both a screen and a computer. You will not need to connect to a computer to use. This means that it is a fully portable tablet great on the go or when traveling or outdoors.

This is great because if you were to go for other brands such as Huion or Wacom, at this price range, you can only get a graphic tablet with a screen that needs to connect to a computer for use.

The tablet is small and easy to carry at ‎10.24 x 6.81 x 0.39 inches in dimension and weighs 2.96 pounds. For a fully portable tablet, however, the battery life is short at 5 hours although it depends on usage.

Operating System and Processing Power

Simbans Picasso Tab runs on an upgradable Android 9 Pie operating system and Android 10 for the 64 GB option. For speed and multitasking, the tablet comes equipped with a Quad Core MTK8163 1.3GHz/Core processor and 2 GB RAM with a 4 GB alternative. The 4GB option is faster with a 2 GHz processing speed.

This RAM and processor speed will easily run most drawing applications without problems. However, if you intend to run very powerful games or animation, the processor might be a bit slow and we recommend a more expensive corei5 or corei7 processor.

You have 2 options for file storage that match the RAM you choose. You have 32 GB upgradable to 128 GB with an external SD card and 64 GB upgradable to 128 GB.

This size is enough for most professionals. However, photographers might need a tablet that is expandable up to 1 or 2 TB due to the large raw file sizes

Pros

  • Affordable Price Range
  • Lightweight and easily portable
  • Good display
  • Long Battery Life
  • Free accessories including a Stylus Pen
  • Expandable storage

Cons

  • No Full HD resolution
  • Only expandable to 32 GB

The Simbans PicassoTab X11 is an Android tablet upgrade for the 2022 Simbans PicassoTab XL. It has features that match up to the new PicassoTab X14 and others to the improved PicassoTab XL.

It is hard to place it either as an upgrade or its version. For example, it has a smaller 11-inch screen but a higher resolution than the Picasso Tab XL.

Additionally, it has a camera, RAM, and storage space similar to the Picasso Tab X14 but with a lower battery life.

Simbans PicassoTab X11 vs. Picasso Tab XL Comparison

Compared to the Picasso Tab XL, the Picasso Tab X11 has had the below improvements:.

It features improved RAM and storage space, from 4 to 6 GB and 64 GB to 128 GB, respectively. The earlier version used to support Picasso Pen 2 with 1024 pen pressure levels.

PicassoTab X11 supports Picasso Pen 3 with 4096 pen pressure levels, which is better.

The screen is slightly smaller at 11 inches on the new version compared to 11.6 inches on the Picasso Tab XL. However, the Picasso Tab X11 makes up for this with a better 2000 x 1200 pixel resolution. It also has a fully laminated screen with unique anti-glare technology, which was not present earlier.

Processing power is also improved on the new version with an 8-core chip processor instead of 4-core. Additionally, the Picasso Tab X11 runs on Android 13 instead of Android 11.

Here is a comparison table for the Simbans PicassoTab X11 and Picasso Tab XL based on the provided specifications:

Simbans PicassoTab X11 Pen

The Simbans PicassoTab X11 features the Picasso Pen 3. This pen supports pen rejection with 4096 pen pressure levels. The pen also supports +/- 60 degrees of tilt recognition, which is awesome.

It has a matte finish on the pen, making it comfortable to hold on to with a natural pen-to-paper-like feel when drawing on the fully laminated screen.

The pen comes for free, but you will have to buy the nibs separately. Unfortunately, the pen is not battery-free. It comes with one AAAA battery, which is good enough to power it.

Just like the PicassoTab X14, the pen has no eraser or shortcut button on it.

Screen and Build

As mentioned earlier, the screen is large at 11 inches and features a 2000 x 1200 pixel resolution. It features a fully laminated finish that makes it more clear by eradicating parallax.

Additionally, the screen’s unique anti-glare technology helps protect your eyes for long hours of usage.

You can use the tablet perfectly indoors and in low-light conditions thanks to its medium brightness and 60-Hz refresh rate.

Like the older PicassoTab X, the screen comes with a pre-installed screen protector. While this is good and protects your tablet from damage, it is quite glossy and reflective. This interferes with your display, especially on a tilted view.

I would have liked it better with a matte screen protector.

Based on the body style, this tablet seems targeted at a younger market audience. Instead of a metallic body with streamlined edges, the PicassoTab X11 features a plastic body with bumpy edges.

It is also colored and matte-finished for a comfortable feel when using it in your hand. The overall body is large and comfortable and also weighs only 3.3 pounds.

Power and performance

The PicassoTab X11 features a powerful 8-core, 2-GHz Octa-core MTK8183 processor and a dedicated Mali G72 MP3 GPU. Additionally, you will have 6 GB of RAM for easy multitasking.

For storage space, the tablet comes with 128 GB of storage but is expandable up to 1 TB using a MicroSD slot. You have to buy the card separately.

Another upside for this tablet is that it runs on a newer Android 13 operating system. It is therefore fast and compatible with most new drawing applications.

Just like all the other Picasso tablets, the Picasso Tab X11 is also a standalone tablet. You will not have to connect it to a computer to use it.

Camera and speakers

The rear camera is clear, with up to 13 MP resolution. The front selfie camera features a lower 8 MP resolution but is still as good as many Samsung tablets.

Unfortunately, you will not have a 3.5 mm audio jack for headphones. The four ways speakers speak are also not the best.

Free Drawing Applications

On purchase, you will get two free drawing applications: Concepts and Infinite Painter. For animators, you will have a free Flipaclip for 2D animation. If it is your first time on a graphic tablet, you have the Artixo application with video tutorials on how to start drawing.

You can still install other applications like Photoshop or Illustrator.
